1. Student Welfare Fund (BTKP) :
A. Living Expenses / Food Financial Assistance
B. Emergency & Special Case Assistance
Covers sudden or unforeseen incidents affecting a student that require immediate aid, such as fire, theft, and other emergencies.
C. Tuition Fee Assistance
Provided to students facing financial hardship to settle outstanding fees. Priority is given to orphans, low-income students, and those from families facing significant difficulties.
2. Assistance for Students with Disabilities (SwD)
This assistance is provided by the Scholarship Division of the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and consists of a monthly pocket money allowance and tuition fee support.

The Health Protection Scheme is a health coverage and medical service facility provided by the University to Undergraduate students. The Office of Student Affairs and Alumni (HEPA), UNIMEL offers several categories of health protection schemes based on specific terms and eligibility requirements.

The Accommodation Unit manages all matters related to student hostels, known as Residential Colleges, including the welfare of students residing within them. The unit’s primary responsibility is to manage student housing and ensure that all necessary facilities are provided for student comfort. Furthermore, this unit places great emphasis on maintaining a conducive building environment and positive surroundings to guarantee safety and boost student morale. Please be informed that all students are required to stay in the Residential Colleges and are not permitted to live off-campus or rent independently, except for specific approved cases.

Please be informed that, currently, reservations for the stadium, facilities, and sports equipment are not available online. Any student wishing to make a booking may do so by downloading the Sports Facility Usage Form or the Sports Equipment Loan Form (Please click the “Download” button below to go to the HEPA Forms download page) under the Student Activities, Sports, Recreation, and Co-curriculum section. Completed forms should be submitted at the HEPA Counter or via email to: hepa@unimel.edu.my. For external parties interested in booking the stadium, please contact the Business Development Unit at:

SCOPE OF DUTIES :
- Treating minor cases (Medical & Surgical cases), e.g., fever, asthma, gastritis, diarrhea, motorcycle accidents, and burns.
- Performing minor procedures such as IV fluid administration, suture removal, wound cleaning, dressing/bandaging, and minor asthma treatment.
- Providing treatment for minor ailments, dispensing medication, and offering medical advice to patients.
- Referring cases to Medical Officers (Doctors) at clinics or hospitals for specific tests such as X-rays or blood tests and further treatment.
- Managing the procurement of medications and medical equipment.
- Providing medical standby/coverage for programs held both inside and outside UNIMEL.
- Conducting health awareness activities such as basic courses for students and health screenings for staff, disseminating information on current health issues, and collaborating with internal faculties or external agencies as required.
- Implementing health programs for staff, students, and the local community.
